Underwood, Jr., photograph collection includes only a very few of General Underwood's photos and certainly does not reflect his career. The box contains photos of the ceremony commemorating the consolidation of the 4th and 5th U.S. Armies on 30 June 1971; his visit to 5th Infantry Division Headquarters at Fort Carson, Colorado on 14 August 1969, and a complimentary photos album from the Swedish Army showing equipment and soldiers training in Sweden in 1968.

The Union Barrack-Ades, organized in 1942 by Ada and Ernest L. Grawemeyer, was a USO-type troupe which toured the Third and Fifth Army bases, including, Fort Bragg (North Carolina), Fort Benning (Georgia), Fort Rucker, (Alabama), Fort Benjamin Harrison (Indiana), Fort Carson (Colorado), and Fort Riley (Kansas).
